Business Wire, April 24, 2008
LAS VEGAS & ROSELAND, N.J. -- Expand Networks, www.expand.com, a leading provider of application acceleration solutions over the wide area network (WAN), and recently positioned in the Gartner's Leaders Quadrant for WAN Optimization Controllers 2007, today announced that Efi Gatmor, CTO, will be addressing the audience at Spring Interop 2008 in a session titled "WAN Optimization for a Virtual Enterprise." The presentation will take place on Wednesday, April 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and will delve into Virtual WAN Optimization (VWAN), enterprise virtualization strategies and solutions to overcome virtualization challenges.
Gatmor will address best practices for deployment and why virtualization infrastructure is a business essential and no longer a trend or a dream technology. Recognizing that virtualization is becoming the IT infrastructure of choice for the enterprise datacenter, Gatmor's presentation will cover::
* Benefits of virtualization in the Datacenter
* WAN Optimization deployment options in the Datacenter
* Virtualization and WAN Optimization in the remote branch
* Virtual Desktop Integration (VDI) and WAN Optimization
It is imperative for enterprises to adopt virtualization as several key industry analysts project that upwards of 60 percent of companies will implement some form of virtualization within the next three years. By implementing VWAN solutions, companies will consolidate their storage capabilities and physical servers, reduce their carbon footprint and make their servers more energy efficient, as well as significantly reduce their IT departments.
"Virtualization in the datacenter is becoming the IT infrastructure of today's enterprise," said Elie Barr, CEO, Expand Networks. "By providing this insight, and enlightening the audience on the right solutions for lowering infrastructure costs, attendees will gain a deeper perspective of virtualization and walk away with a solid understanding of the various types of deployments afforded to them."
