Tech Data Corporation Announces Nominee to Board of Directors

Former CDW Corporation Executive Harry J. Harczak, Jr. Nominated to Board

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ:TECD), a leading distributor of IT products, today announced that Harry J. Harczak, Jr., former executive vice president of CDW Corporation, a leading technology products and services provider, will stand for election to Tech Data's board of directors at the company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders on June 4, 2008. Details are included in the company's Proxy Statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission today.

Mr. Harczak, 51, was most recently responsible for business development, marketing, and product and partner management at CDW Corporation from 2006 to 2007. He led the team responsible for CDW's $7.3 billion private equity buyout in 2007. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Harczak served as executive vice president of sales at CDW and from 1994 to 2002 he served as chief financial officer. Prior to joining CDW, Mr. Harczak was an audit partner in the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked for 16 years serving public and private clients in retail, distribution and financial services industries. Mr. Harczak serves on the board of directors of U.S. Cellular Corporation and is designated financial expert on U.S. Cellular Corporation's audit committee. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and serves on the boards for The Goodman Theatre of Chicago and Junior Achievement of Chicago.
