Bose Automotive Systems Division Awarded 2008 Supplier of the Year by Porsche AG
Business Wire, April 25, 2008
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Porsche AG named Bose Automotive "Supplier of the Year" during a ceremony held in Porsche's development center in Weissach, Germany, April 3, 2008. Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, President of Porsche AG, presented the award to Brandon Westley, President of the Bose Automotive Systems Division.
The award is in recognition of the collaboration, communication and engagement demonstrated between the two companies.
"We are honored to be Porsche AG's supplier of the year," explained Brandon Westley. "This achievement is the result of tremendous collaborative efforts, and both companies' mutual commitment to excellence."
In his address, Dr. Wiedeking pointed out that the Porsche success story could not be imagined without efficient and reliable suppliers. According to Wiedeking, Porsche suppliers take on a high level of responsibility due to the company's low vertical range of manufacture. Bose was able to fulfill this responsibility and meet Porsche's highest quality standards and strictest deadlines. "The best of them are the yardstick for all the others," Wiedeking stressed.
Since 2001, Bose has been developing and producing premium sound systems for each model produced by Porsche. "Working as a supplier to Porsche challenges our organization every day," added Westley. "We always strive to be a benchmark for quality, efficiency and absolute on-time delivery. That's why everyone at Bose who contributed to our success should feel honored to be presented this award."
