Game Show Cult Hero, Ken Jennings, to Appear on New Internet TV Network for Game Shows

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- PlayCafe.com, the first internet TV network for game shows, announced today that Ken Jennings, holder of the record for the longest winning streak on the U.S. game show Jeopardy!, will appear as a special guest during the show's daily live webcast tonight, April 28th from 6:00-8:00 pm (PDT). Ken will play against everyone watching via the web on a real-time video quiz show to determine whether or not he is, still, smarter than the rest of the world.

PlayCafe.com streams live, online casual games that let anyone play as a contestant. Members can compete in a variety of games, chat live with hosts and other players, form teams, call the studio, contribute questions, and win a variety of prizes, including iTunes songs, Nintendo Wiis and up to $1,000 in cash.

Kenneth Wayne Jennings III holds the record for the longest winning streak on the U.S. syndicated game show Jeopardy! Jennings won 74 games before he was defeated by challenger Nancy Zerg on his 75th appearance. His total earnings on Jeopardy! are $3,022,700 ($2,520,700 in winnings, a $2,000 consolation prize on his 75th appearance, and $500,000 in the Jeopardy! Ultimate Tournament of Champions).
