Qwest Adds End-to-End Performance Monitoring and Reporting to Qwest iQ Networking Bundles
Business Wire, April 29, 2008
Enhancements Give Customers Visibility Into Their Network's Performance
DENVER -- Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced the addition of end-to-end performance reporting and monitoring capabilities to its QCONTROL[TM] dashboard on all Qwest iQ Networking[R] service bundles. Qwest iQ Networking consists of a secure, managed, fully interoperable and scalable suite of global wide area networking services. Now, Qwest's business customers--from the smallest to largest--who want more insight on their specific networks, have it.
"Customers told us that gaining visibility into their network's performance is more important than ever given the growth of bandwidth-hungry and latency-sensitive traffic moving over networks," said Eric Bozich, Qwest vice president, Product Management. "Qwest is meeting customer's needs by bundling network services to provide simplified business solutions."
End-to-end performance monitoring and reporting is a valuable tool that lets customers view their network performance statistics for availability, jitter, latency and packet delivery data among all the customer's locations. Through the QCONTROL dashboard, customers can do things like open repair tickets, get centralized billing information and make service changes which helps their businesses perform optimally. The reporting and monitoring features also give businesses a leg up in following industry-specific compliance issues like Sarbanes-Oxley.
The new dashboard capabilities are already benefiting Qwest customers through a simple presentation of their network performance that requires no additional equipment. The bundles are also equipped with helpful new trend analysis tools for wide area networking improvements. Additional enhancements are planned this year.
