Business Wire, April 3, 2008

FREMONT, Calif. -- Rackable Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:RACK), a leading provider of servers and storage products for large-scale data centers, today announced that it has strengthened the Committees of its Board of Directors.

Recognizing the additional expertise and experience brought to the Board by recently elected independent directors Douglas King and Michael Hagee, the Directors have ratified the Board's Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee's recommendations for reconstituting the membership and Chairman assignments of the Board's Audit, Compensation, Nominating and Corporate Governance and Strategy Committees. Douglas King was appointed to the Audit Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee of the Board, and Michael Hagee joined the Nominating and Governance Committee and the Strategic Committee of the Board. These appointments further broaden the Board's existing financial, industry and business acumen.

"In the past year, the Board has taken important steps to add to its existing expertise, by ensuring it has the right people and capabilities required to provide oversight and governance for the company," stated Ron Verdoorn, Chairman of the Rackable Systems Board of Directors. "Given the breadth of experience and skills that the new Directors bring to the Board, we felt these new assignments will serve our shareholders' best long term interests."
