OCS, which is part of Microsoft's Unified Communications offering, has begun to impact real-time communications and unified messaging through features such as Public Internet Connectivity, Office Communicator, VoIP and LiveMeeting service. M3TG's Unified Communications team creates custom instant messaging, presence, conferencing and VoIP solutions for midmarket and corporate global enterprises, managing these solutions on premise or within a hosted format in over 50 countries. M3TG's Unified Communications team has supported Live Communications Server versions 2003 and 2005 for more than four years. With the addition of Brummett, the team formalizes its best-in-class level of support for the entire OCS 2007 product stack.

Prior to joining M3TG, Brummett most recently held the position of supportability program manager at Microsoft where he oversaw the collaboration between LiveMeeting service and OCS server groups. "Jay is an experienced member of Microsoft's team who brings with him a specialized knowledge of OCS," said Michael Byrnes, chief executive officer of M3TG. "His success in executing projects within highly complex environments will add significant value to M3TG's Unified Communications team, which supports the OCS systems of our global customer base."

As a senior consultant, Brummett will be responsible for driving the corporate vision for instant messaging, conferencing and telephony, while shaping the evolution of M3TG's Unified Communications and OCS offerings. A graduate of Drake University, Brummett also held engineering, sales and managerial roles during his tenure with Microsoft where he worked extensively with Live Communications Server, SQL and Exchange, in addition to OCS.
