BJ's Wholesale Club Elects Hill Holliday CEO Michael Sheehan to Its Board of Directors

NATICK, Mass. -- BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. (NYSE: BJ) today announced the election of Michael Sheehan to its Board of Directors. Mr. Sheehan, 47, is the chief executive officer of Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Inc., a Boston-based communications agency with offices in New York, Miami, and Greenville, South Carolina. Owned by the Interpublic Group of Companies Inc., Hill Holliday is one of the top communication agencies in the nation.

Mr. Sheehan joined Hill Holliday as a Group Creative Director in 1994 and was named Executive Creative Director in 1996. In 1999, he joined DDB Chicago as Executive Creative Director overseeing the McDonald's account. In 2000, he rejoined Hill Holliday as President and in 2003 was named CEO. Mr. Sheehan serves on the Board of Trustees of Thayer Academy, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston, the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and The American Ireland Fund. Mr. Sheehan attended the U.S. Naval Academy and received his B.A. in English from Saint Anselm College, where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees for 10 years, the last four as Chairman.
