Business Wire, April 30, 2008
World's Only Digital Floor Media Effectively Engages Consumers
ROANOKE, Va. -- LevelVision Media today announced it has expanded its College Bookstore Network (CBN) to more than 200 college bookstores nationwide, providing brands with a unique channel to reach consumers at the point of persuasion. The CBN network currently reaches an audience of more than 60 million viewers annually including students, faculty, parents, alumni and local customers as they shop each year. The company expects to rapidly extend the reach of its CBN network to more colleges and universities in 2008.
"Our CBN network provides a unique medium to reach an attractive consumer audience on the verge of forming their own independent brand loyalties," said Jim Currie, CEO of LevelVision. "The world's only digital floor media has a proven 'proxemic effect,' delivering marketing messages in a consumer's personal space at the time and place when purchase decisions are made in the store aisles. This enables brands to influence opinions when consumers are most open to information."
The CBN network is currently installed at major colleges and universities nationwide including: Ball State, Kent College of Law (Chicago), Miami University (Ohio), Michigan State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Purdue University, The Ohio State University, University of Michigan, and University of Minnesota.
LevelVision digital devices in CBN are networked by wireless broadband using BroadSign software, through its IntelliMat digital devices, allowing the company to schedule programming, control interactivity and deliver content for day-part and location.
