A JavaOne conference special edition of the 1-gigabyte Pulse smartpen is available only at the Conference for $139. The Pulse is also available in a 2-gigabyte model for $199 from www.livescribe.com.
The Pulse smartpen features an ARM 9 processor, a high-speed infrared camera with a Dot Positioning System, a rechargeable lithium battery, a high-contrast display, dual embedded microphones, and a 3-D recording headset. Further, the Smartpen is a platform with rich I/O capabilities and a Java(TM) integrated development environment that enables a wide range of applications.
