Beats Challengers from Top Information Security Companies
NEW YORK -- Orchestria, the proven leader in Information Protection and Control, emerged victorious from the famed Lions Den, an annual competition held during the 2008 Infosecurity Europe event in London on April 24, 2008.
The Gladiators, six of the most exciting companies in the Information Security industry, were given two minutes without the aid of slides or props to make their case to the panel of hungry lions. Pete Malcolm, Orchestria's founder and CTO, was appointed the company's gladiator for the event.

The Lions, a panel of leading analysts and experts, included Chair Colonel John "Caesar" Doody, Colin Clark, Head of Corporate Business Control, Somerfield, John Fitzgerald, Director of European Programs, SANS Institute, Tony Lock, Programme Director, Freeform Dynamics, Paul Simmonds, Global Information Security Office, ICI, and Ray Stanton, Global Head of Business Continuity Security & Governance, BT, had four minutes to attack each gladiator with as many arduous questions as they could. The company that demonstrated the most courage and managed to best impress the Lions was crowned winner and presented with Caesar's sword.
"The questions were brutal, but we were able to make a compelling case for the benefits of the Orchestria Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution," said Malcolm. "I salute the Lions for their perceptive questions, and look forward to the 2009 event." Orchestria will turn the sword over to next year's Lions Den winner at Infosecurity Europe 2009.
The Orchestria DLP solution provides control and protection across all information channels and control points, including internal/external e-mail, instant messaging, Webmail, blogs, disconnected laptops, and removable media. Powered by more than 300 pre-built, highly precise policies, Orchestria works in real time to accurately detect policy violations before a message or file is sent, a Web transaction is completed, a file is saved, or a document is printed.
