Protecting Customers Through Payment Card Data Security
MIAMI -- NovoPayment, Inc., Latin America's leading pre-paid card service provider and program manager, announced today that it was awarded the Data Security Standard certification (PCI DSS) from the PCI Security Standards Counsel, the organization founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International to develop and implement a comprehensive set of security standards for processing card payments.
The guidelines enable merchants and payment card service providers to ensure against card fraud by protecting data from security threats.

The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, intrusion alerts, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.
