Harvard Business Publishing Sponsors Tammy Erickson Workshop at Strategies 2008 Conference May 5, 2008
Business Wire, April 7, 2008
BOSTON -- Harvard Business Publishing is sponsoring an intriguing workshop by McKinsey Award-winning author Tammy Erickson as part of its Executive sponsorship of the Strategies 2008 Conference, May 5-7, 2008 at Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Ms. Erickson's workshop, entitled "The Signature Experience: Showing the Right People Why They Want to Work for You," will focus on the idea that companies with deeply engaged and committed employees are distinguished by the ability to show current and potential employees what makes the organization unique. Companies with highly engaged employees articulate their values and attributes through "signature experiences" - visible, distinctive elements of the work environment that send powerful messages about the organization's aspirations and about the skills, stamina, and commitment employees will need in order to succeed there.
Based on the Harvard Business Review article, "What It Means to Work Here" (March 2007), Tammy Erickson will engage workshop participants in discussions around ways to help their organizations establish and leverage a "signature experience." This session also will offer examples and guidelines for attracting and retaining the right people, across generational divides.
"This workshop will provide conference attendees with the latest management thinking from one of the foremost experts in the area of talent management," said Peter McAteer, managing director and vice president of Harvard Business Publishing's corporate learning division. "Tammy's research and insights - on demographics, employee values, and how successful organizations work - have helped organizations and individuals prepare for those trends. I believe conference attendees will gain lasting value from attending her workshop."
