Results of the Study, conducted by the Bone and Joint Decade Task Force and titled "Dispelling Myths About Neck Pain," will be presented by Scott Haldeman, MD., clinical professor, department of neurology at the University of California, Irvine; and adjunct professor, department of epidemiology University of California, Los Angeles.

The Neck Pain Task Force is a related project that began in 2000 at the start of the decade. The findings of the Bone and Joint Decade Task Force (BJD) on Neck Pain and Its Associated Disorders were published in the journal Spine (1.18.08) and are already impacting the manner in which neck pain is perceived, addressed and studied around the world.
