Satellite P300 Series Desktop Replacement Line Built upon Elegant Design and Technology Innovations
IRVINE, Calif. -- Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced it's now shipping the new Satellite([R]) P300 laptop series, a stylishly designed, innovative desktop replacement that features Toshiba's all new brilliant Fusion[TM] finish with Horizon pattern, while pushing the performance of Toshiba's laptops even higher.
Bonded within the Satellite P300 series chassis is Toshiba's unique Fusion finish[TM] with Horizon design, a distinctive blend of appearance and texture. By embedding the design directly into the laptop body the result is a visually stunning desktop replacement laptop.
"Toshiba's desktop replacement lines have always personified performance, power and usability," said Jeff Barney, vice president of marketing, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. "Now, with the introduction of the Satellite P300 with the new Fusion finish, Toshiba has engineered a machine that is both elegant and powerful."
To complement its sleek and modern look, the Satellite P300 series offers a slew of new and innovative features that enhance the overall computing experience. A flush mounted touchpad rests seamlessly across the front of the palm rest with a white LED light across the top to enhance the detail-oriented finish, while providing a slight texture change so users can easily find the touchpad without looking away from the screen. Innovative Sleep-and-Charge USB ports featured on the Satellite P300 series allow for popular mobile devices such as MP3 players, mobile phones and PDAs to be charged whether the laptop is powered-on or off. A Webcam with facial recognition software provides users with a unique and fun way to gain access to the laptop based on the user's face.
Each Satellite P300 model sports a high-definition 17-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite([R]) display, which is perfect for viewing a wide variety of high-definition content including streaming of online HD television programs, HD movie trailers and HD video podcasts. With new LED-illuminated "Feather-Touch" multimedia command keys, the mere touch of a finger can control the audio and video playback of a user's favorite movies and music. Meanwhile, the movie watching experience is further enhanced through Harman Kardon([R]) stereo speakers that deliver a clean and crisp sound.
Available in select models, users can expand the functionality of the laptop through REGZA LINK[TM] (HDMI-CEC) technology. Built upon the strength of HDMI, which enables the laptop to be connected to external displays, REGZA LINK empowers users with instant device configuration and the ability to control linked HDMI-CEC enabled devices, such as Toshiba's REGZA[TM] HDTVs, with a single remote.
The Satellite P300 series incorporates the latest Intel([R]) Centrino Duo processor1 technology and the leading-edge AMD Turion([TM]) 64 X2 Dual-Core mobile technology1, which provides users with an abundance of power to enjoy all that modern computing stands for in terms of Internet, multimedia entertainment and productivity.
The new Satellite P300 series is available at a variety of major consumer electronics and computer stores nationwide or directly from Toshiba at www.toshibadirect.com. Detailed product information is available at www.explore.toshiba.com/P300.
