Azaleos Adds Messaging Security to Remotely Managed Microsoft Exchange Service
Business Wire, April 9, 2008
New ProtectXchange Offering is Powered by Industry-Leading Security Technology from MessageLabs
SEATTLE -- Azaleos([R]) Corporation, the managed Microsoft Exchange services company, today announced ProtectXchange a new email security offering available under its OneStop brand of Managed Microsoft Exchange services. ProtectXchange, which secures e-mail boxes managed by Azaleos from spam, viruses, and other forms of malware, is powered by MessageLabs, the industry's leading provider of messaging and web security services.
Marcus & Millichap, a diverse family of premier real estate companies headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, that serves the commercial, mixed-use, multi-family and single family markets, has deployed Azaleos OneStop Services including ProtectXchange, ManageXchange, ViewXchange, and RestoreXchange.
"Although e-mail is the life blood of our business, managing Microsoft Exchange is not a core competency on which we want to focus our valuable IT resources," said Vikram Prashar, vice president of technology for Marcus & Millichap Corporate Services Inc. "Azaleos provided the complete set of messaging services, including business continuity and ProtectXchange for security, that we were looking for, as well as the unique ability to keep Exchange Server safely inside our firewall. Choosing OneStop services made great business sense for us."
ProtectXchange uses MessageLabs patented multi-layered spam protection techniques including heuristics rules, Bayesian learning, fuzzy fingerprinting and other methods to identify and filter unwanted messages. The service also defends against viruses, worms, Trojans, phishing attacks, malicious links, and other malware. In addition, the Azaleos team of Exchange experts monitors customer deployments 24x7 to ensure ProtectXchange services are always up and running in accordance with their Service Level Agreement.
"As we developed our roadmap for broadening the OneStop services portfolio, messaging security was at the top of our list," said Keith McCall, CTO of Azaleos. "With ProtectXchange, our customers are protected by world-class security from MessageLabs, no longer need to maintain spam and virus updates, and can count on 24x7 security monitoring from our network operations center."
"Azaleos provides one of the industry's leading and most unique solutions for outsourcing the management of Microsoft Exchange," said Chris Mooney, Vice President North America and Global Channels, MessageLabs. "As two companies that are committed to providing world class security solutions, we are pleased that Azaleos has selected MessageLabs as a partner for providing the core component of its messaging security service and to play an important role in filling out the Azaleos OneStop portfolio of services with ProtectXchange."
OneStop Managed Services
ProtectXchange is the latest addition to the modular lineup of Azaleos OneStop managed Exchange services. OneStop offerings are based on OneServer for Microsoft Exchange 2007, a high availability, hardened e-mail appliance that is managed remotely by experts in the Azaleos network operations center. A virtualized edition of OneServer is also available that reduces the number of physical servers required to deploy Exchange 2007 from four to two.
In addition to the new ProtectXchange offering, OneStop services include:
* ViewXchange, which provides real-time graphical views and formatted reports that cover Exchange health monitoring, e-mail traffic analysis for both internal and external e-mail, as well as message hygiene including SPAM and virus activity, archiving, and mobility statistics.
* ManageXchange, a remote command and control service that allows Azaleos technicians to monitor, manage, patch, troubleshoot and fix issues in a customer's Exchange environment on a 24x7 basis.
* ArchiveXchange, which automatically archives and stores e-mail from the Exchange server to secondary storage to improve performance and reduce costs.
* MobileXchange, a complete solution to support mobile access needs including Windows mobile, Blackberry, and iPhone devices.
* RestoreXchange, which provides complete dual-site business continuity capabilities, handling both dial tone and mail storage restoration.
Pricing and Availability
ProtectXchange is an add-on service to Azaleos OneStop managed Exchange services. It is available immediately from Azaleos and its business partners worldwide. Pricing starts at $4 per user per month.
