Dr. Campion's presentation, entitled "When it comes to EMRs, Who Should Pay and Who Should Play?", will evaluate whether the EMR will become the main source for clinical data extraction and, if so, when this will occur. He will also examine the strengths and weaknesses of registries and EMRs, while providing an update from the Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates on clinical registries and clinical data repositories. Additionally, Dr. Campion will also address the process of integrating professional society outcome programs into clinical practice and automating public health reporting using EHR clinical data extraction.
