Business Wire, August 21, 2008
Allen Kupetz Examines Commerce in the Wireless, Paperless, Cashless World in "The Future of Less"
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Rollins MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business, the number one graduate business program in Florida, is pleased to announce that its executive-in-residence, Allen H. Kupetz, has released a new book on the near-future of the 21st century economy. The Future of Less, published by Emerald Books, examines society's continued evolution into an increasingly wireless, paperless, and cashless world and what it means for business. The Future of Less also provides readers with practical strategies for how businesses can adapt to the changing technological landscape and remain in step with today's - and tomorrow's - business practices.
"Regardless of the size of your organization, current technological realities are having a profound effect on how business will be done in the next three-to-five years," said Kupetz. "By aligning your technical business practices with those already employed in many Asian nations, you can get ahead of the curve here at home and enhance the success of your organization."
The Future of Less gives a global view on cutting-edge wireless technologies and discusses technology as a tool for innovation. The book also offers views on how the cashless and paperless society will affect the way U.S. organizations do business - from the checkout counter to the enterprise - in the very near future. Kupetz uses the forum to discuss how security, privacy, and ease of use will evolve in this environment, and how hand-held mobile devices will become the "Swiss Army knives of our lives," evolving from just voice and internet services to offer a wide array of unique applications - including the ability to directly make purchases using our mobile devices like credit cards.
"The Crummer Graduate School is proud that the nation's most profound business thinkers choose our learning institution to bring our students the benefit of their real world business experience," said Craig McAllaster, Dean of the Crummer Graduate School of Business. "With gifted teachers like Allen Kupetz engaging students in and outside of the classroom at the Crummer Graduate School, we ensure that our MBA graduates are on the leading edge with the practical skill sets they'll need in the workplace of the 21st century."
Allen H. Kupetz is a recognized thought leader on the present and future impact of technology on individuals and corporations. In addition to his duties as executive-in-residence at the Crummer Graduate School of Business, Kupetz is also the president of Kpartnerz, Inc., an international management consulting firm. Kupetz's dynamic, high-energy presentation style has entertained and informed Global 2000 companies on three continents. His new book, The Future of Less, is now available at:
