Business Wire, August 25, 2008

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Digital Lightwave[R], Inc. (OTCBB:DIGL), a leading provider of optical networking test equipment and technology, today announced the introduction of a battery option for 2-slot NIC Platform. A rechargeable battery enables technicians to perform tests without external power and also serves to protect the integrity of test results in the event of unanticipated power loss.

"For some applications, a backup battery is essential," stated Mike Botham, Director of Engineering. "With the addition of battery operation, the NIC Platform is more flexible than ever before.
