Offshore Document Review Decreases Litigation Costs, Extends Reach of Law Firms

Tusker Group Embraces the American Bar Association's Opinion on Legal Process Outsourcing
AUSTIN, Texas -- Tusker Group, the leader in international document review services, embraces the American Bar Association's opinion that offshore document review decreases costs for clients and enables smaller law firms to work on labor intensive cases. The opinion, issued by ABA's Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility on August 25th, lends credibility to a growing industry slated to reach $4 billion in India by 2015, according to Forrester Research.
According to KPMG, traditional domestic document review expenses have ballooned to an estimated 58 to 90 percent of a corporation's total litigation expenses.
"Offshore document review has the ability to level the playing field by saving companies considerable costs associated with litigation. Boutique and mid-sized law firms are able to offer more services to their clients by working with an outsourced, offshore document review firm. This new generation of legal services is poised to dramatically impact the legal industry," said Michael Dolan, CEO of Tusker Group.
Tusker Group has managed and reviewed well over 50 million pages on hundreds of complex legal matters through its India-based team.
"As sited in the ABA opinion, security and highly skilled lawyers are key to moving document review offshore. As a firm, we've engineered processes and implemented robust technology to create a strong offering to leading companies and law firms," continued Dolan.
Tusker Group hires and trains top-tier reviewers, refines processes through measurement and best practices, and applies the most appropriate technologies. The first to implement dedicated, long-term project managers and legal professionals to individual clients, Tusker Group handles complex litigation for a wide-range of matters and industries, including: intellectual property, healthcare, energy, financial services and pharmaceuticals.
