Emtec Federal to Deliver Samsung Monitors and Lenovo Convertible Tablets to Air Force Locations Worldwide

CHANTILLY, Va. -- Emtec Federal (OTCBB:ETEC), an information technology systems and solutions provider, today announced that it has received awards from the Air Force Quarterly Enterprise Buy (QEB) program to provide approximately 70,000 Samsung 19-inch display monitors and 1,000 Lenovo Convertible PC Tablets. Under a series of delivery orders, Emtec Federal will manage staged deployments of the systems to agencies across all Air Force organizations worldwide. The total value of the contract is expected to exceed $17 million.

The QEB enables the Air Force to centralize the purchase of common hardware and software products as part of an ongoing effort to streamline purchases and ensure system interoperability. The contract mandates that purchases of desktop and notebook computers be processed through the Air Force's nine major commands, and that officials consolidate hardware buys using the AFWay online procurement system to obtain optimal pricing.

"This contract is a testament to the confidence that the Air Force has in our ability to deliver the products and services that best meet their needs around the globe," stated Frank Blaul, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Emtec Federal. "This is our first QEB award for the laptop line of business and we are excited to expand our product offerings to the Air Force, as well as extend our partnership with Lenovo."

Emtec Federal has a strong track record in delivering best-in-class solutions to federal agencies through various sales vehicles including its own GSA Schedule (GS-35F-4564G), BOPnet BPA, Department of Health & Human Services Peripherals BPA, Army ADMC-2, NASA SEWP IV, and the National Institutes of Health ECS3.
