Business Wire, August 6, 2008

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Gamers are putting their controllers down to try the latest innovation in video games: automated voice commands. Video games are among the newest speech technology applications that will be on display at SpeechTEK 2008, Speech in the Mainstream, at the New York Marriott Marquis August 18-20.

For the first time ever, SpeechTEK will host hands-on labs featuring innovations in gaming, tools for developers and multimodal applications.

SpeechTEK Labs will give attendees the opportunity to get hands-on experiences with new tools, applications and devices, talk to developers and interact with an expert panel that will be rating the new products.

SpeechTEK released the Lab schedule today. The Labs will be a part of the SpeechTEK Expo and located on the exhibit hall floor:

Tuesday, August 19, 10:45 AM - 12:30 PM

Tools for Developers Lab moderated by Moshe Yudkowsky, president, Disaggregate Consulting, will feature a variety of competing and complementary tools for the entire development process from coding through final testing.
