SunLink Health Systems' Chilton Medical Center Named as One of Ingenix Top 200 Hospitals

ATLANTA -- SunLink Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE Alternext US: SSY) today announced that its Chilton Medical Center, a 60-bed general medical and surgical facility located in Clanton, AL was named tenth out of 200 hospitals by Ingenix, a leading health information, technology and consulting company, for coding and compliance procedures.
Chilton Medical Center is the fifth of SunLink's seven hospitals to receive national recognition for operational excellence or improvement in the last three years. SunLink's Memorial of Adel recently won a national Excellence Through Insight Award for Most Improved Emergency Department given by HealthStream Research, Trace Regional Hospital in Houston, MS was named as one of Thomson Reuters' Performance Improvement Leaders 2007, Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, GA received Thomson Reuters' (formerly known as Solucient) award as a recipient of its 100 Top Hospital Performance Improvement Leaders in May 2006 and Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, MO received its award as one of 100 Top Hospitals for Excellence in Hospital Management and Performance in March 2006.
