NORWALK, Conn. -- Pepperidge Farm is pleased to be adding to its popular fruit cookie line with the launch of the Montieri[TM] cookies and the introduction of two new Verona[R] cookie flavors. Pepperidge Farm now offers consumers seven fruit cookie varieties.
The new Montieri cookies are like delicious little tarts, with a flaky pastry lattice top and luscious real fruit filling baked inside. The three new flavors are Apple Tart, Raspberry Tart and Peach Tart. Pepperidge Farm is also expanding the Verona line by adding Blueberry and Apple Caramel flavors. The Verona cookies are delicate little cookies with a shimmering pool of delectable real fruit fillings. They are currently available in Strawberry and Apricot Raspberry. The Montieri and Verona cookies have no artificial flavors or preservatives.
"Pepperidge Farm is excited to be expanding our fruit cookie offerings," said Michael Simon, Vice President, General Manager, Snacks. "We chose popular pie and tart flavors that we know consumers already enjoy and now with so many varieties to choose from, there's something for everyone."
The new Pepperidge Farm Apple Tart, Raspberry Tart and Peach Tart Montieri cookies and the Blueberry and Apple Caramel Verona cookies will be available now at major supermarkets, grocery stores and mass merchandisers nationwide and have a suggested retail price of $3.19 per package.
