Azingo to Deliver Mobile Linux Solution for the Texas Instruments OMAP3430 Multimedia Processor

SUNNYVALE, Calif. & BARCELONA, Spain -- Mobile Linux company Azingo, announced today that Azingo Mobile will support the Texas Instruments' OMAP3430 processor. With availability expected later this year, this new multimedia-focused software/processor combination offers mobile phone and entertainment device manufacturers a comprehensive and cost-effective Linux platform for delivering rich, personalized and performance-optimized user experiences. Azingo Mobile is currently available on the Texas Instruments OMAP2430 and OMAP850 processors.
TI's OMAP platform provides a unique multi-engine architecture ensuring high performance, non-interrupted delivery of industry-leading voice, data and audio, multimedia applications with very low power consumption. The Azingo collaboration adds a complete mobile Linux platform that includes a highly configurable user interface and web 2.0-enabled mobile applications suite, an SDK for applications developers and mobile Linux engineering services - resulting in an extremely attractive, lower-cost platform for developing multimedia-centric mobile devices.

Azingo Mobile will work with LogicPD's Zoom Mobile Development Kit (MDK), a form-factor development platform that leverages the processing capabilities of the OMAP3430 solution while offering developers a more realistic system for development and validation.
