Telos Lands Task Order to Design, Install Wireless Networks at Air Force Bases Worldwide

Contract Expands on Previous Air Force Order for Wireless Solutions
ASHBURN, Va. -- The Air Force Combat Information Transport Systems (CITS) Program Office has awarded Telos([R]) Corporation a task order to implement the Second Generation Wireless Local Area Network (2G WLAN) Expansion at 98 Air Force locations worldwide.
Awarded under the NETCENTS Contract, Telos will conduct site surveys, design the expansion to the core wireless local area networks, procure components, integrate the existing wireless infrastructure into the new WLAN systems, conduct engineering studies and provide on-site training and a 24x7 call center for ongoing support enterprise-wide.
"This contract enables Telos to continue the work we have performed over the past decade for our customers, including the installation of secure wireless networks on air bases," said Jim Morehouse, vice president of CITS programs for Telos Secure Networks Group. "Over the next three years, Telos will continue its long history of providing Air Force warfighters with enabling capabilities to enhance their mission effectiveness.
