U.S. Army Licenses nFocus Software's Curriculum Management System to Meet Combined Arms Training Strategy Development Requirements
Business Wire, Feb 26, 2008
PHOENIX -- nFocus Software announced today the U.S. Army has licensed nFocus Software's Curriculum Management System (CMS) to create and manage its Combined Arms Training Strategy (CATS). CMS is a component of nFocus' TraxSolutions[TM] Suite which enables enterprise-wide training management and tracking for the worldwide fielding and sustaining of the Army's training management system.
The Combined Arms Training Strategy is the Army's overarching approach to planning, resourcing and executing individual and collective training. The CATS is a flexible system that supports commanders with uniquely designed automation capability. That means users can spend less time sorting through training materials used to develop plans, schedules and resource cost estimations and more time designing challenging training to meet the Army's mission.
"In today's environment of high personnel demands and leader training rotation, users need a tool that supports both short-term and long-term training development efforts," said Ananda Roberts, president of nFocus.
nFocus Software has teamed with Research, Analysis and Maintenance, Inc. of El Paso, Texas to customize CMS to meet the Army's specific and growing requirements. By using CMS, the team expects to rapidly deliver the customized curriculum management training system June 2008. That's because nFocus Software's agile development methodology allows the team to deliver to the Army functional software quickly while ensuring that end users are able to start adapting the advanced training development capabilities provided by CMS immediately.
