Bradley Students Earn Steeves Scholarship

PEORIA, Ill. -- RLI Corp. (NYSE:RLI) - RLI has awarded the 2008 James D. Steeves Scholarship at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, to Justin Knoblauch of Metamora, Illinois, and Kaycee Melvin of Morton, Illinois.

Knoblauch is a sophomore accounting major and Kaycee is a freshman accounting major. They are the ninth and tenth recipients of the award, respectively. Recipients of the Steeves scholarship are offered the opportunity to interview for RLI internships to gain experience and knowledge in the field of property and casualty insurance.

RLI established the Steeves scholarship in 1998 in the name of the late James D. Steeves, a former RLI vice president. "Jim Steeves was a terrific mentor and teacher," said RLI President & CEO Jonathan E. Michael. "We are very pleased to be continuing his legacy with a scholarship for outstanding students choosing a career in insurance."

The $5,000 Bradley University academic scholarships are awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students from the Peoria tri-county area enrolled in Bradley's Foster College of Business.
