POGO Jet, Inc. Announces New Board Members

Former CEO of Federal Express and Former CEO of the Air Transport Association of America on Board of Private Jet Operator
CHICOPEE, Mass. -- POGO Jet, Inc., a future provider of private, on-demand jet charter service, today announced the election of Theodore L. Weise and Carol B. Hallett to its board of directors. Weise and Hallett bring POGO Jet a wealth of global transportation experience and proven expertise that spans management, operations and economics. Weise is the former president and CEO of Federal Express and Hallett previously served as president and CEO of the Air Transport Association of America, Inc. (ATA).
"Ted and Carol are respected leaders and international authorities on matters of air transport, logistics, trade and security," said board chairman Robert Crandall. "They are ideal additions to our board, and their industry knowledge and business insight will be invaluable as we accelerate toward the launch of air service in 2009."
Theodore L. Weise was employed by Federal Express Corp. from 1972 until the time of his retirement in 2002. Weise's career with Federal Express Corp., which included roles as the company's executive vice president of worldwide operations and senior vice president of air operations, culminated with his tenure as president and CEO. Weise earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla), and a master's in business administration from the University of West Florida.
Carol B. Hallett currently serves as counselor to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, assisting the Chamber with strategic travel and aviation initiatives. From 1995 to 2003, Hallett served as president and CEO of the Air Transport Association of America (ATA), where she took the lead in the redesign of airline security policies and practices following the events of September 11, 2001. Hallett also serves on the board of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc., Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, Rolls Royce-North America and Wackenhut Services, Inc.
Weise and Hallet join existing POGO Jet board members including David Hurley, former CEO of PrivatAir; Gladstone N. Jones III, founder and partner at Jones, Swanson, Huddell & Garrison, LLC; Michael Moriarty, founder and CEO of global investment fund Teewinot Funds, LLC; and Julian Robertson, chairman and CEO of Tiger Management, LLC.
