Business Wire, Feb 4, 2008
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Competitive Intelligence industry leaders --Gary Maag, CEO and David Kalinowski, President, Proactive Worldwide, Inc., challenge seminar workshop participants at Frost & Sullivan's 15th Annual Competitive Intelligence 2008 here to "effectively measure the return on investment (ROI) for competitive intelligence and market research." The seminar takes place at the Hilton Clearwater Beach from February 4 to 7. Proactive Worldwide, Inc. is a leader in customized business intelligence research and consulting services.
According to Maag, "Being able to attach solid numbers to demonstrate ROI makes the critical difference in ensuring that competitive intelligence remains a vital part of all healthy business' tool sets."
An interactive workshop led by Maag and Kalinowski, "The Holy Grail: A True Framework for Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) and ROI" will be held on Thursday, February 7 at 8:00 a.m. The session effectively demonstrates how targeted investment in competitive intelligence can reap major rewards for organizations.
"This workshop is designed to provide a framework for measuring, benchmarking, and proving that the competitive intelligence is a highly value-added overhead function within a large, medium, or even a small company," Maag said. "There is no question that competitive intelligence and market research can make a critical difference in outsmarting the competition," he added.
"We developed a very flexible and user-oriented way of evaluating competitive intelligence value through the intelligence cycle," Kalinowski said. "We know what CI professionals must do to demonstrate its value to senior management," he added.
On Tuesday February 5 at 3:15 p.m., Kalinowski leads an interactive session, "Getting to the Meaning of the Intelligence." The workshop gives participants key takeaways on how to determine what the intelligence they collect actually means - and what the implications are for their companies.
"It is essential to take full advantage of all the key learnings your competitive intelligence efforts generate and maximize its impact for your company," Kalinowski said. "This session reveals a strategy for CI success," he added.
