Unum Group to Present at the Merrill Lynch Insurance Investor Conference

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Unum Group (NYSE: UNM) announced today that Thomas R. Watjen, president and chief executive officer, along with Kevin P. McCarthy, president and chief executive officer of Unum US, will be representing the Company at the Merrill Lynch Insurance Investor Conference on Feb. 13, 2008 in New York City.
Watjen and McCarthy are scheduled to speak at 10:35 a.m. (ET) and will discuss the Company's business strategy and future growth opportunities. There will be a live audio webcast of the presentation available on the Investor Information page of the Company's website, www.unum.com. The webcast will be archived for 14 days.
