Business Wire, Jan 10, 2008
LONDON -- The Automotive & Transportation Group at Frost & Sullivan is pleased to announce its 2008 Quarterly Analyst Briefing Presentation on the global automotive biofuels market to be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 3:00 pm GMT.
Due to blending norms in Europe, APAC and North America regions, most OEMs and oil companies are researching different blends of biodiesel and bioethanol. In particular, vegetable oils will be the most preferred feedstock for biodiesel production with a consumption of 124 million tonnes.
Highlights of the briefing include: an overview of the global biofuels market, competitive analysis, as well as supply and demand analysis for biofuels.
"Stringent emission norms will drive the growth of biofuels globally," notes Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst Vijayendra R. Rao. "Global biodiesel consumption will increase from 7 million tonnes in 2006 to over 31 million tonnes in 2013 with Europe leading the market."
