Business Wire, Jan 11, 2008
TERRELL, Texas -- American National Bank of Texas (ANB) today announced the completion of its merger with Dallas National Bank (DNB). The Definitive Agreement for ANB to acquire DNB Bancshares and its subsidiary DNB was signed on Sept. 19, 2007.
"We are very excited about the finalization of the merger," said Lynn Prude, ANB's regional president over Dallas County. "ANB has a lot to offer the Dallas area and our new customers here. I particularly look forward to working with Michaux and Paige Nash, whose continued leadership will be critical in developing this market." Michaux Nash, Jr., former chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president of DNB, will remain with the bank as executive marketing director. DNB will become part of the American National Bank of Texas. In addition to the DNB location, ANB operates a commercial real estate lending office in Dallas located at 17304 Preston Road, and has leased office space for a new banking center to open at 9696 Skillman Road later this year.
Now combined, ANB has 32 banking centers throughout North Texas and $1.85 billion in assets. The two banks' operations will be combined in the second quarter of 2008.
