Integrated Scanning and Secure Document Capture In Just One Touch
PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Visioneer, Inc., a leader in intelligent imaging solutions, and Westbrook Technologies, a leader in enterprise document management software for the mid-market with 62% growth over the prior year, today announced a certified Visioneer OneTouch Link to Fortis document management software. Using the Visioneer OneTouch([R]) Links Software Development Kit (SDK), the two companies co-developed the link that allows users to scan documents into Fortis with the touch of a single button. Fortis document management software allows organizations to electronically capture, store, and organize documents and business information, thus enabling immediate and reliable access to critical information right when it's needed.
"Fortis users can now use the Visioneer OneTouch Link to easily capture their documents to the Fortis repository and improve their business processes," said Brent Wesler, Director of Professional Services at Westbrook Technologies. "By providing this seamless link between our technologies, we have simplified the capture process, resulting in increased productivity and efficiency gains."
With Fortis document management software, information is readily accessible and centrally located. This means that employees no longer spend time routing documents from desk to desk or trying to locate a misplaced file. The OneTouch Link to Fortis enables users to scan documents in a single step with their Visioneer or Xerox DocuMate scanner. All documents scanned through any OneTouch Link also have improved image quality instantly through use of Visioneer OneTouch with Kofax([R]) VRS([TM]) (VirtualReScan([R])) technology before being sent to Fortis. The OneTouch Link to Fortis will be available through the Visioneer website at www.visioneer.com/onetouch.
> "Fortis document management and workflow software is used by thousands of customer sites in 52 countries. The new OneTouch Link to Fortis will provide true ease-of-use without removing any of the advanced features and configurations that customers are accustomed to using," said John Dexter, Vice President of Business Development at Visioneer.Visioneer SDK for ISVs
The Visioneer OneTouch Links SDK is a wizard-based template that can be used to easily implement new functionality within Visioneer's OneTouch interface. Links developed with the OneTouch Links SDK will have access to all OneTouch functions, including the benefits of Kofax VRS technology that is integrated into Visioneer OneTouch. Links can be created to provide scan-to destinations, such as applications, devices (printers or fax servers) or locations (network or local folders).
The OneTouch Links SDK list price is $499, which includes a support component, and is available from Visioneer. For more information, developers should contact the Visioneer business development team at onetouchsdk@visioneer.com.
