El Dorado Furniture Continues to Grow in 2008 with a New Showroom in Coconut Creek, Florida

MIAMI -- El Dorado Furniture is starting off the new year with a ground breaking event for the El Dorado Home Furnishings Center on Wednesday, January 23rd2008, at 11 A.M.

This site will house what will be their newest store in Broward County located in the city of Coconut Creek. The 17 acre site will become their 11th showroom in South Florida. The exhibition area of this new showroom is among one of the biggest in the company. Once completed, the showroom will be 92,000 square feet.

The development site is located on the northwest corner of the Sawgrass Expressway and Lyons Road. The center will provide lease space for home related design products and mixed use including a junior tenant for an additional space of 62,000 square feet, and two out parcels for a restaurant and bank use. The new property is within minutes of Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, Coral Springs and the Boca Raton area, among others.

This new showroom will bring new Customers to the already established South Florida Company, and will also generate new jobs in the area. The project, which will be built by Stiles Construction and leased out by Continental Real Estate Company, is planned to be completed by the beginning of 2009.

The Capo family started El Dorado Furniture back in 1967 by Manuel Capo and his seven sons. He received a $10,000.00 loan from the Small Business Administration and was able to open the first El Dorado Furniture showroom in the City of Miami. The Company is owned and operated by the Capo family and employs more than 800 employees.

Last year the company celebrated their 40th anniversary and for the last few years has flourished and established itself as a major national player in the furniture business. Their hard work has earned them a spot in the top 50 furniture companies in the United States.
