Penn State Great Valley Program Examines Hot Technology Careers

MALVERN, Pa. -- Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies will host "Reboot Your Career: Achieving Success in the Changing Field of Technology," on Friday, February 1, from 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Safeguard Scientifics Building on campus. The program, which is free and open to the public, will feature industry leaders and Penn State alumni discussing future careers in technology.
The agenda includes: 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., networking and continental breakfast; 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., keynote address by Robert T. Kelley, COO and founding partner of LiquidHub; 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., panel discussion titled "Voices of Experience: Tips & Tools to Help you Move your IT Career Forward." Panel features Georgia Gordon-Martin, compensation specialist at De Lage Landen International, Eric May, manager of pre-sales and consulting for FullTilt Solutions Inc., Robin Roberts, vice president of human resources, Harrah's Casino, and Ken Sassa, software support specialist for First Consulting Group; and an open house with faculty and program representatives until 10:30 a.m.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Phillip A. Laplante, professor of software engineering at Penn State Great Valley, co-director of the Software Engineering Group, and CTO of the Eastern Technology Council.
