Fiserv Health Receives URAC HIPAA Privacy and Security Accreditations

WAUSAU, Wis. -- Fiserv Health, a business unit of UnitedHealthcare, announced today that it has been awarded HIPAA Privacy and Security Accreditations from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry. URAC's HIPAA Privacy and Security Accreditation Programs enable health care organizations to display a commitment to fair information practices and demonstrate that they have taken the necessary steps to protect health information privacy in accordance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
