Noritsu America Corporation Celebrates 30th Anniversary at PMA 08
Business Wire, Jan 30, 2008
BUENA PARK, Calif. -- Noritsu America Corporation, a leading manufacturer of digital imaging equipment, is pleased to announce the celebration of its 30th anniversary of business at the upcoming PMA 08 show to be held in Las Vegas, NV from January 31 - February 2, 2008.
Noritsu has played a pivotal role in history of photofinishing. The company's founder, Mr. Kanichi Nishimoto, invented the process that spawned the one hour photo lab. Noritsu was the first to introduce the one hour lab concept to the world in 1976. The company has continued to contribute to the advancement of photo technology over the years, including innovations like the introduction of world's first inkjet minilab in 2003. Attendees at PMA 08 will be able to view a display at the Noritsu booth that shows a timeline tracing the company's heritage.
"At PMA we are celebrating our 30 years of operation in the US," commented Ms. Tina Tuccillo, Vice-President of Marketing Noritsu America Corporation. "We have worked hard to establish a reputation of high quality and innovation with our products. We are exhibiting our latest printers, the D701 and the QSS-37 Series, which embody the latest advancements in photo technology and are designed to provide retailers with profitable photo opportunities." The D701 and QSS-37 are the latest additions to an extensive line of digital photo imaging equipment that represents Noritsu's commitment to innovation and dedication to providing retail partners with profitable photo imaging equipment.
The retail photo industry continues to experience growth. According to research from InfoTrends Inc., and the Photo Marketing Association, consumers are printing digital photos at retail locations at a rapidly increasing rate. It is estimated that about 50% of the 15.3 billion digital photo prints are made at retail today. That number is expected to grow to almost 60% by 2011. This is an exciting opportunity for retailers who can meet this growing consumer demand with in-store photo printing capabilities.
The Noritsu D701 is a high quality inkjet printer capable of producing a wide variety of print sizes, from standard 4"x6" prints to calendars, photo cards, locker prints and posters up to 10" x 36". The D701 utilizes a revolutionary new inkjet technology that radically improves the dye ink process to provide sharp detail and brilliant colors, while producing long-lasting prints that resist deterioration from ozone and light. Ideal for photofinishing and other environments such as drugstores and consumer electronics retailers, the D701 is an extremely compact printing system, taking up only 4.6 square feet of space. The D701 represents the fifth generation of inkjet technology and is engineered by Noritsu to deliver the same steadfast reliability that all Noritsu printers are known for worldwide.
Noritsu will display the QSS-37 Series, the newest flagship in its QSS digital printer lineup. The QSS-37 Series are high performance, silver halide digital printers designed with advanced features for maximum productivity and revenue. Capabilities include a high volume print capacity of up to 2,360 prints per hour (4"x6") and a wide array of print sizes up to 12" x 36". Using built-in AccuSmart[TM] image processing technology from Noritsu, powerful image optimization and correction functions ensure the highest quality photo output. Efficiency has been enhanced, with setup times reduced 67% compared to previous models. The versatile QSS-37 Series printers are also configurable as traditional minilabs with the addition of optional EZLab[TM] software.
