Evilee Ebb Joins 1105 as Group Publisher
Business Wire, Jan 7, 2008
FALLS CHURCH, Va. -- 1105 Government Information Group, a division of 1105 Media Inc., announced that Evilee Ebb is joining the company as Group Publisher for print and online products. Those include Federal Computer Week, Government Computer News, Washington Technology, Government Health IT and Defense System magazines and their respective Web sites.
"We are very excited that an executive with Evilee's experience and stature is joining our team," said Anne Armstrong, President of 1105 Government Information Group. "We have grown dramatically in the last year with the addition of the Post Newsweek properties. We look forward to continuing that growth and building greater value for the community we serve."
Ebb comes to 1105 after 19 years at Network World (IDG Communications), including eight years as CEO of the business unit. During that time, she grew revenue dramatically and led the evolution of a one-publication business unit to an industry-leading newsweekly, four Web sites (NetworkWorld.com, LinuxWorld.com, JavaWorld.com and Demo.com) and a robust events business. In 2007, Media Business named Ebb "Innovator of the Year" in the large B2B publisher category and recognized NetworkWorld.com as the "Best Trade Web site."
"Hiring an experienced and proven media professional such as Evilee is a real coup for 1105 and the Government Information Group," added Neal Vitale, President & CEO of 1105 Media. "After her nearly two decades of success at IDG and in the technology marketplace, we expect her to add great value to our company."
"I am delighted to join 1105 Government Information Group," said Evilee Ebb, Group Publisher. "Anne Armstrong has assembled a talented team who understands the content their audiences consume and how to bring those insights to advertisers in the most appropriate media to influence their customers and prospects, as well as inspire interaction between buyers and sellers".
In addition to her long career at IDG, Ebb has also worked for Codex Corp. (Motorola), McGraw-Hill and CMP Publications.
