S3 Announces the Appointment of George Mudie as Director of Product Strategy, Consumer Systems

DUBLIN, Ireland & SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Silicon & Software Systems (S3) today announced that it has appointed George Mudie as Director of Product Strategy for its Consumer Systems Business Unit. Mudie joins S3 from BSkyB in London where he was Director of Customer and Interactive Technology for the past 3 years. His responsibilities in this role included managing the security and integrity of the satellite platform as well as the design and delivery of customer facing solutions such as High Definition (HD), Sky , interactive TV solutions and Anytime TV. Prior to BSkyB Mudie was a Senior Manager at the Vodafone Group in Newbury.
Mudie is tasked with leading the development of a multi-year product portfolio, validating specific market initiatives and identifying new potential high-growth product market areas for the company. S3 has already built a strong product business globally however the company also recognizes the need to continue to hire senior executives with the right product expertise in order to further this success in the future.
