Mosaic combines two respected and successful industry leaders, IMC Global and Cargill Crop Nutrition. Together, they are one of the world's leading producers of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients. Their world-class mining and processing operations produce the highest quality fertilizer and animal feed ingredients, which are moved down the value chain to wholesalers and retail dealers through their global distribution system. Mosaic now offers all three crop nutrients (phosphate, potash, and nitrogen), customized services that increase crop and economic yields, as well as a rich legacy of experience and innovation.
James T. Prokopanko became President and Chief Executive Officer of Mosaic in January 2007, previously serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Mosaic, he was a Corporate Vice President of Cargill, Inc., where he had executive responsibility for procurement and served as a leader of the Cargill Ag Producer Services Platform. After joining Cargill in 1978, he served in a wide range of leadership positions, including Vice President of the North American crop inputs business in 1995.
