Rocket Software Acquires Assets of Arkivio

NEWTON, Mass. -- Rocket Software (www.rs.com), a Boston-based developer of Enterprise Infrastructure products, today announced that it has acquired the software assets of Arkivio, Inc. (www.arkivio.com), an award-winning developer of storage products based in Mountain View, California. Both companies are privately held. Under terms of the agreement, Rocket will continue to develop and support Arkivio software as part of its storage unit, which also includes Austin-based Servergraph (www.servergraph.com) and Seattle-based Mainstar (www.mainstar.com). Arkivio's development, support and sales teams will continue to work as part of Rocket and will be managed by Giovanni Paliska, who is currently president and CEO of Arkivio.
