Michael Clark Named Market President of Delta Dental of Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Michael B. Clark, an Ohio State University graduate with 15 years of experience in health care benefits, was recently named market president of Delta Dental of Ohio. The announcement was made by Thomas J. Fleszar, D.D.S., M.S., president and chief executive officer of Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.
Clark most recently served as senior benefits consultant for Haake Companies in Kansas City, MO. Prior to that he was president and chief executive officer of Delta Dental of Kansas in Wichita, KS, and served in a variety of leadership positions for Aetna, Inc.
"Michael's record of achievement in the health care benefits industry, combined with his profound understanding of the market, make him the perfect choice to lead our Ohio operation," said Fleszar.
The newly created position in Ohio strengthens the company's sales and account management efforts in the Buckeye state. Clark will report to Charles D. Floyd, CEBS, L.I.C., executive vice president of sales, actuarial, and underwriting for Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.
Clark has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University, and attended the MBA Essentials Program at the University of Kansas. He resides in Dublin, OH.
Delta Dental of Ohio, with its affiliates in Michigan, Indiana, and Tennessee, make up one of the largest dental plan administrators in the nation. In 2006, the enterprise paid out more than $1.7 billion for dental care for more than 6.2 million enrollees.
