Business Wire, July 10, 2008
AVON, Ohio -- Henkel Corporation, Professional and Consumer Adhesives, manufacturer of professional adhesives and sealants under the Loctite[R], PL[R], Pro-Series[R] and Polyseamseal[R] brands, has announced a price increase that can reach a level of 20 percent depending on the category effective for August 1, 2008 shipments.
This is the Henkel Corporation's, Professional and Consumer Adhesives, second price increase in less than two months. The company implemented a 15 percent product price increase - based on the category - on June 16, 2008.
"The costs of raw materials continue to reach unprecedented levels, with the forecasts projecting a steady climb throughout the rest of the year," said Tom Rapps, Henkel's vice president, marketing, adhesives and sealants. "Taking this information into account, we once again have found it necessary to increase our prices in order to maintain the quality and service demands of our customers," concluded Rapps.
