Top Firms Team Up to Provide 401 Sales Education to Regional Banks

Business Wire,  July 15, 2008

CAMPBELL, Calif. -- Three firms: 401kDIRECT, Rogerscasey, and EPIC Advisors, Inc. connect to provide 401(k) sales education to regional bank personnel. This sales education, which will be delivered in a series of short webinars, is open to all regional banks. The firms intend to cover topics that are important to banks that market 401(k) plans.

The series begins Thursday, July 24 with education and discussion on Qualified Default Investment Alternatives (QDIAs). The emphasis of the discussion will be on how banks can help their current client base meet the new PPA regulations and how to use the regulations to develop new client relationships.

Topics in subsequent webinars will include:

* Seven Institutional Guidelines for Selecting Target Date Funds

* Mutual Fund v. Collective Investment Funds, What's the Difference?

* Fees in Today's Environment

Why was this series developed specifically for regional banks? Lance Roberts, 401kDIRECT: "It is our goal to help regional banks recapture 401(k) market share that was lost to bundled product providers. In order to do that it is important to provide banks with the sales support and education they need to compete."
