ACECOMM Activation and Provisioning Solution Goes Nationwide at Large Middle East Fixed-Line Operator
Business Wire, July 15, 2008
Automation slashes activation time, increases accuracy
GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- ACE*COMM Corporation (ACEC.OB), a provider of advanced telecom operations support systems (OSS) for service providers and value-added services (VAS) solutions for wireless operators, announced a nationwide expansion of its Activation Gateway solution across a prominent fixed-line operator in the Middle East with more than 11 million subscribers.
ACE*COMM's Activation Gateway is a single, convergent platform designed to enable cross-network technology service activation.
"This expansion highlights the strengths of our Tier 1 service activation solution," said Per Jacobsen, ACE*COMM's OSS Business Unit Manager. "Our solution is being installed in addition to the existing data collection and activation systems ACE*COMM already has in place at the operator's facility."
Mr. Jacobsen added, "Our Activation Gateway serves as a service fulfillment hub for the operator's OSS/BSS infrastructure to provision advanced services on multiple switch models from eight different equipment vendors. We are now operational for the national capital region of the operator. With the expansion to the operator's remaining six regions, our solution will reduce activation time of new features from several days to minutes for all subscribers. Our automated solution also enables customer support personnel to understand what features are available to any of its subscribers and ensures that each subscriber's service profile is updated with accurate information."
