T+L Architects Launches Full Service Firm in West Palm Beach

Business Wire,  July 16, 2008

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Two award-winning firms have joined forces and are pleased to announce the launch of T+L Architects, Inc., a full-service architectural firm based in Palm Beach County, Florida. The offices are located at 1717 North Flagler Drive, Suite 11, in West Palm Beach.

Steve Trezise of Trezise Design Associates and Jim Lucas of Atlantic Construction Illustrators have formed T+L Architects, Inc., specializing in architecture, land planning, interiors, project management and consulting throughout Florida, the Caribbean, and New Orleans, Louisiana.

"Steve and I have worked on a number of successful projects together over the past decade," said Lucas. "We have great respect for each other's specialized skills, and determined the best way to service our clients was to join forces and offer them the capabilities of a full-service firm."

Trezise echoes Lucas' sentiments. "The formation of T+L was a natural progression for us," he said. "Combining our individual expertise allows us the ability to round-out our services. It makes sense for us, and is particularly beneficial to our clients."

Clients Lucas and Trezise have worked with include: Catalfumo Construction, LLC; Anderson Moore Construction; Bienstar; Cypress Courts Townhome Development; Coronet Development Company, Inc.; Brown Moving & Storage, Inc.; Life Safety Management; Batten Construction; Market Place; Strauss & Wassner; Glace & Company, Inc.; Worth Builders; Etc., Inc; Eggs Benedict, Inc.; Dynamic Food Concepts; Fred Zrinscak, Architect; South Ocean Builders; Casa 1246; The Taubman Estate; John Anderson Construction; and Gator Investment & Development, LLC to name a few.

About Jim Lucas:

Lucas brings more than two decades of project management, architectural illustrator and CAD experience to his position as Managing Partner at ACI. After obtaining his degree in Architectural Engineering in 1987, he began his career with The Lawrence Group, Inc., where he worked for 20 years, directing and training the firms CAD personal, and overseeing every aspect of a project from initial client contact and design conception to a successful construction completion.

Lucas is an industry leader who has achieved many accolades for his innovative skills, vast knowledge and solid leadership. Throughout his career, he has managed hundreds of residential and commercial design projects, and he has designed and implemented CADD systems and procedures for a number of builders and architects. Lucas is credited for designing and writing a specification module for a beta version of an architectural packaged entitled the Liberator, a direct competitor of AUTOCAD.

In addition to his credentials, Lucas is known for his exceptional communication skills, serving as liaison between owners and contractors and as an effective presenter for zoning and ARCOM committee presentations.

About Steve Trezise:

Steve founded Trezise Design Associates, Inc. in 1984, after completing his Master of Arts in Architecture at the University of Florida, and working briefly with another architectural firm in North Palm Beach. He was selected as the architect for the realization of his Masters' thesis project, the preservation and adaptive reuse of an estate in Palm Beach in danger of being demolished. The project became a great success, and was honored with the John D. Ballinger Award for Best Historical Restoration project of the year in Palm Beach. He has since been involved with three other projects that have been given this prestigious award.

Since that time, Trezise Design Associates has enjoyed great success working on a wide variety of projects, from single and multi-family residential, to free-standing commercial, to commercial tenant projects. The firm has completed projects throughout the country, as they are registered to practice in numerous states. The firm has worked on a wide spectrum of commercial interior improvement projects including corporate headquarters, restaurants, retail facilities, law offices, medical offices and many others, with project size ranging upwards of 50,000 square feet. Trezise welcomes the opportunity to immerse himself in each new project, providing quality design work and follow up that makes a design a built reality.
