ATLANTA -- Concurrent (Nasdaq: CCUR), a worldwide leader in real-time Linux-based computing technologies, today announced that James Brickmeier has been named vice president of product line management. In this role, Mr. Brickmeier will lead product strategy and have P&L management responsibility for all Concurrent product lines and new product initiatives.

"Today's announcement represents one of many planned steps in executing our vision for Concurrent," stated Dan Mondor, Concurrent president and CEO. "The creation of a strong product management organization is essential to drive revenue growth, fuel innovation, and increase profitability as we focus on high growth market segments. Additionally, we have significantly increased our focus on partnerships and alliances with global industry leaders to complement Concurrent's core technologies and expand our market reach. Jim's appointment is complementary with this strategy."

Mr. Brickmeier has been instrumental in the definition and promotion of Concurrent's products throughout his tenure with the company. Mr. Brickmeier holds a bachelor's degree in industrial and management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. In his new role, he will serve as a member of Concurrent's senior executive team and will report directly to the president and CEO.

"Concurrent has achieved market leadership in every industry we serve," asserted Mr. Mondor. "Our RedHawk[TM] Linux operating system has been deployed extensively where guaranteed performance and unparalleled determinism are absolute necessities. Our MediaHawk Content Delivery System, which has been selected for the majority of the latest video-on-demand opportunities, today serves over 23 million cable and IPTV viewers globally and has achieved a 65% market share in the rapidly growing time-shifted television segment.
