DESCA, a leading Latin American provider of network solutions and systems integration services, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Transistemas, an Argentine-based company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition provides DESCA with direct presence in Latin America from Mexico to Argentina, and positions the company to significantly leverage its talented professionals for capturing new opportunities and strengthening relationships with customers and partners.

The two companies signed a binding Letter of Intent on April 7, 2008 and executed a purchase agreement on May 23rd. The acquisition was completed today. The acquisition assures service continuity for existing customers and provides employees with new opportunities for sustained growth.

Transistemas' customers will receive the same service and support as always, while gaining the combined strength of more than 700 DESCA professionals behind their networking solutions. In addition, the acquisition delivers a broader portfolio of communications and networking solutions with the ability to meet customers' needs for new market efficiencies through technology enablement.

Strategic vendors such as Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, VMware and Oracle, among others, will be able to easily invest in Argentina's growing market and capture new opportunities. By partnering with DESCA's highly professional services team and showcasing leading-edge solutions, vendors can deliver the technologies and reap the benefits of growth in Latin America's dynamic IT market.
