St. Kitts Marriott and American Airlines Work to Make Travel Affordable for Florida Residents, Despite Difficult Times
Business Wire, July 29, 2008
FRIGATE BAY, St. Kitts -- Due to economic hardship and increasing gas prices, travel has become a luxury most Americans cannot afford. In response to the demand for affordable travel options, the St. Kitts Marriott Resort has reduced room rates for Florida residents to $99 per night and supported an initiative with American Airlines to offer discount airfare for travel from Miami.
"Concerns about the economy and increases in airfare costs are making it impossible for travelers, even for Florida residents who are so close to the Caribbean," said Simon Bell, director of marketing for the St. Kitts Marriott Resort. "This sale will provide those residents with an affordable Caribbean vacation option, despite the difficult times."
The St. Kitts Marriott Resort is offering a special Florida Resident Rate starting at $99 per room per night for travel through October 31, 2008. Guests must show proof of Florida residency upon check-in to receive the special rate, which can be booked by visiting Marriott.com and entering promotional code FR6.
American Airlines is offering discount airfare from Miami to St. Kitts for travel booked during the month of August. The roundtrip airfare costs $495 (including taxes) and is valid for travel through October 31, 2008. Visit AA.com for more information or to make reservations.
The St. Kitts Marriott Resort and The Royal Beach Casino is located in the Frigate Bay area of St. Kitts, just a 10-minute drive from the airport and capital city Basseterre. The resort offers over 500 guest rooms and luxurious suites. The golden sands of North Frigate Bay Beach, a championship golf course and the largest Vegas-style casino in the Caribbean help provide an unparalleled vacation experience. The resort also features a revitalizing spa, meeting facilities, the Pirates of St. Kitts Kids Club program, eight restaurants and two lounges that make it the ideal destination for families, couples and corporate travelers.
